Inspect the Ladder

If there is one thing that would make the ladder one step closer to safety, that would be to inspect it thoroughly. Before setting up or even using the ladder, you or your workers should inspect the rolling staircase and look for some damages or worn parts. You must also make sure that the ladder does not possess any slipping hazards like oil, grease, paint, or water. Set Up Properly

One way to ensure workplace safety is by setting up the platform ladder properly. If you are using the ladder in the pathways of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, you must make sure that there are safety cones and other clear signs around it to warn people about the area. The rolling ladder must likewise be positioned within or closer the arm’s reach to the associated task. Alternatively, repositioning the rolling staircase of the ladder must only be done if there are no personnel or tools on it.
